In the quarterfinal of the Region 4 tournament, KCC Lady Cavs defeated Kishwaukee College 73-64 to advance to the semifinals. Both teams started off strong in the first quarter, ending the period in a tie at 20 points each.
KCC gained momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Kishwaukee 19-12, thanks to the impressive shooting of Jazmyn Smith who scored 26 points on the night, going 12-14 from the field.
Na'lani Williams also had a strong performance for KCC, recording a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Valorie Dagg and Hayley Diveley contributed 10 and 14 points respectively.
KCC will now move on to face Rock Valley on Saturday, March 4 in the semifinal of the Region 4 tournament at Rock Valley College.
