In a tough matchup against Highland, KCC struggled to keep up with their opponents' efficient shooting, falling 79-88. Despite the loss, several Kankakee players had notable performances, with Robert Stroud leading the way in scoring with an impressive 24 points on 10-19 shooting. Stroud was also a force on the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds to complete a double-double.
Sean Black also had a solid game for the Cavs, finishing with 15 points on 5-14 shooting, including a stellar 5-8 from beyond the arc. Black also dished out a team-high 9 assists.
The Cavs are gearing up for tournament play which begins on Thursday, as they take on Truman College in the 1st round of the Region 4 tournament.
