KCC Men’s Soccer Wraps Up 2025 Season Against Strong Region 4 Field
KANKAKEE, Ill. — Kankakee Community College men's soccer completed the 2025 season with a 5-10-2 overall record while competing against a strong Region 4 Division II schedule.
The Cavaliers showed their potential early, opening the year with a 4-1 win over Moraine Valley Community College before earning a 1-0 road victory at Black Hawk College. KCC also picked up wins over Milwaukee Area Technical College, College of DuPage, and Illinois Valley Community College, while adding draws against Joliet Junior College and South Suburban College.
KCC was at its best during the middle portion of the season, when the Cavaliers defeated Milwaukee Area Technical College 5-3, College of DuPage 3-1, and Illinois Valley Community College 3-1. The stretch showed the team's ability to create offense, defend with structure, and compete against Region 4 opponents.
One of the top individual highlights of the season came from Carter Levesque, who earned Second Team All-Region 4 honors. Levesque was a steady presence in goal for the Cavaliers, starting 16 matches and finishing with 116 saves, a .784 save percentage, five wins, and two shutouts. He faced consistent pressure throughout the season and gave KCC a chance to stay competitive against several strong opponents.
Levesque also contributed beyond his work in goal, appearing in all 17 matches and scoring one goal. His all-around effort and consistency made him one of KCC's most important players throughout the season.
Offensively, Lendelle Baptiste led the Cavaliers with six goals, three assists, and 15 total points. Ethan Friday added four goals and a team-high four assists, while Daniel Rose scored five goals and finished with 11 points. Rose also led KCC with two game-winning goals.
Aaron Lopez added three goals and three assists, giving the Cavaliers another productive attacking option. Angel Aguilar Sanchez finished with two goals and two assists, while Jeremiah Bennett, Bladimir Lopez, and Theron O'Brien each added one goal and one assist.
As a team, KCC scored 24 goals and recorded 18 assists. The Cavaliers were able to generate offense from several different players, with eight players scoring at least one goal and 10 players recording at least one point.
The Region 4 Division II field was highly competitive, with Madison College winning the team championship and Triton College finishing as runner-up. KCC faced both teams during the season, along with several other opponents represented on the All-Region list.
Although the Cavaliers finished short of where they wanted to be, the season included clear bright spots. KCC earned five wins, posted two shutouts, had multiple players contribute offensively, and saw Levesque recognized among the top players in the region. The Cavaliers will look to build from those moments as the program moves forward.
